Anti-Discrimination Ombudsman the first port of call

Help in cases of discrimination or violence

The Anti-Discrimination Ombudsman’s office within the Department for Multicultural Affairs provides advice and help in cases of discrimination or violence and is linked up to many other advice centres.

The Office for Multicultural Affairs (AmkA) Amt für multikulturelle Angelegenheiten (AmkA) has been the anti-discrimination office (Antidiskriminierungsstelle) of the city of Frankfurt am Main since 1993.
On 18 September 2003, Frankfurt am Main, as the first city of the Federal Republic of Germany, issued Anti-Discrimination Guidelines (ADR) ,Antidiskriminierungsrichtlinie (ADR) for complaints of citizens against city offices and operations.

What can you do, if you have experienced discrimination and need help?

  • You can call the Ombudsman for anti-discrimination in the AmkA via the hotline 069/ 212 30111.
  • You can write an e-mail to antidiskriminierung@stadt-frankfurt.de. Your information will be treated as confidential.
