In its work with refugees Amnesty International predominantly seeks to prevent violations of human rights.
Amnesty International works to prevent the deportation of people who, in the event of being deported, would face a clear risk of human rights violations, against which Amnesty International proactively works, e.g. imprisonment as a non-violent political prisoner, torture, the death penalty, ‘disappearance’ or state murder. Amnesty International works on behalf of these at-risk people to try to secure a legally safeguarded right to stay.
We limit ourselves in terms of asylum policy to issues of legal protection of politically persecuted individuals and to issues of access to a fair and comprehensive asylum process.
Asylum consultations in Frankfurt am Main take place on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00.
