International ‘Hohe Straße’ children’s day-care centre

Our understanding of teaching follows the situational approach. In this approach the social and cultural situation of the children and their families is the starting point for how they are taught: we pick up on the children’s interests and needs and integrate these into the nursery’s everyday activities. Our carers happily engage in new experiences with the children and learn from them in mutual relationships. Younger and older children relate to each other through doing things together and learn to respect each other and to support each other in their development.
