12. Newcomers Festival in the Römer
Information exchange for international newcomers
As an exhibition bursting with information, the Newcomers Festival offers new international arrivals and interested locals the opportunity to get to know service providers, towns and organisations in the region.
Expected at the festival are around 4,000 visitors and up to 60 exhibitors from the fields of education, tourism, culture, media and business development, who will be showcasing their products and services. On the stage German and international music and dance groups will provide a programme of entertainment. Visitors to the festival will receive a free copy of the Newcomers Guide, which is appearing this year for the tenth time. The English-language publication offers practical information and details of important addresses for living and working in the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main region. Admission is free.
Newly arrived international specialists, managers and their families who live and work in the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main region can, in particular, gain an overview of the area at the Newcomers Festival and thus make it easier for themselves to settle in. The City of Frankfurt is represented with its key departments, so that the newcomers can get information about various topics from entertainment services to recycling. However, anyone looking for bilingual or international schools, leisure options or language schools or needs advice on subjects such as health and finances will also find the right people to talk to here.
The City, the FrankfurtRhineMain Regional Association and Hesse Trade and Invest, partners and sponsors of the event, are pursuing in this way the objective of making it easier for international professionals and family members that have come with them to make themselves at home in the Rhine-Main region. Over recent years, visitors from 30 different countries have attended the Newcomers Festival.
